Specified Concrete Brands & Products for Boston Jobs
Every slab starts with the right material. We source from Ardex, Sika, Mapei, Laticrete, BASF, Rust-Oleum and others, then match the system to your surface, load and local climate. How Concrete Product Choice Shapes Long-Term Performance
The concrete you see is only the top layer. Underneath, the waterproofing, the repair mortars, the sealers and the base prep all determine whether a slab survives Boston winters or starts to spall and crack. We specify brands that publish their formulations and test results, then install the full system, not shortcuts.
Different surfaces need different lines. Ardex self-leveling compounds flatten interior floors before finish coats; Sika waterproofing protects foundations from groundwater; Rust-Oleum epoxy systems handle garage traffic and chemical exposure. Matching the product to the job is half the durability equation.
Manufacturer specifications also protect your warranty. When we install the full system, primer through topcoat, to the published spec for temperature, coverage and cure time, both the product warranty and our workmanship warranty stay valid. That is the standard we follow on every pour.
Our selection process
How We Match Concrete Materials to Your Project
-
Evaluate the surface and conditions
We determine what the concrete will face: interior or exterior, foot traffic or vehicle load, wet or dry, and what substrate it bonds to.
-
Select the right brand and system
We choose the product line engineered for those conditions, then specify the complete system, primer through topcoat, not a patchwork of mismatched products.
-
Follow manufacturer installation specs
We install to the published spec for surface prep, temperature, coverage rate and cure time, which is what keeps both warranties in force.
-
Document and hand off
You receive the product names, technical data and care instructions, so any future work is compatible with what is already in place.

Concrete Brands & Product Selection FAQs
How we choose materials, why it affects durability, and what it means for your warranty.
They explained why they chose the self-leveler and topcoat instead of the cheaper option I found. Two years later, the floor looks brand new.
Foundation waterproofing done with a full system, primer and all. The basement stayed dry through spring melt for the first time since we bought the house.
I asked for a specific epoxy brand for the garage. They confirmed it would hold up here, installed it to spec, and gave me the product sheet and care steps.
The documentation was thorough, listing exactly which products went down and how to maintain them. Made it easy when we added a matching slab the next year.
