Forklift-Ready Warehouse Concrete Built to Spec
A working warehouse floor takes constant punishment: loaded pallets stacked on racking, forklifts moving through aisles all shift, hard wheels on every joint. The slab has to be engineered for it. Thickness, reinforcement, and a laser-screeded surface within flatness tolerance are the foundation. Joints are detailed and filled so edges don't spall under wheel traffic, and the whole floor is built to the load rating and FF/FL numbers in your spec.
That same engineering approach scales across the plant. Manufacturing floors handle equipment loads and process chemicals, food-processing slabs are built for washdown and sanitation compliance, and cold storage concrete resists thermal cycling without cracking or lifting.
For large pours or tight site access, our concrete pumping service keeps the placement continuous, which is what durable industrial slabs actually require. We also coordinate ready-mix supply so the truck schedule matches the pour sequence.
How we work
From Spec Review to Concrete Handoff
-
Drawings and spec review
You send the structural drawings, floor spec, load ratings, flatness tolerance, mix design and joint layout. We review everything, walk the site, and return a written quote with a schedule that fits your operation.
-
Subgrade prep and forms
We compact the base, set reinforcement and embeds to the drawings, confirm the mix design and joint plan, and stage the concrete supply before any pour begins.
-
Place and finish to tolerance
The crew places concrete with laser screeds, finishes to the specified flatness, and saw-cuts joints on layout. Our own pumping keeps large placements continuous and smooth.
-
Cure, fill joints and sign off
We cure the slab, fill and detail the joints with semi-rigid filler, take flatness and load readings where required, and hand over a floor ready for racking and traffic.
Common questions
Industrial Concrete Questions, Answered
Load ratings, flatness tolerance, joint detailing and compliance on an industrial concrete project in Boston.
New warehouse slab poured to our FF/FL spec and signed off with the readings. Racking went in straight and the forklifts run smooth across every joint.
Replaced a failing process-area floor with a food-grade urethane system. It handles the washdowns, drains properly, and passed our sanitation audit.
Poured heavy equipment pads and a wash bay on a working yard. They phased it so we never lost the shop, and the slabs take the loaders fine.
Cold storage slab done right, thermal breaks, the correct mix, flat and tight joints. A year of cycling later there is no spalling or lift.
