Acreage Concrete Foundations, Driveways & Floors in Cambridge

Cambridge properties run bigger, which means longer slabs, detached shops, and room for real concrete work. Boston Concrete handles the full scope: new pours, repairs, coatings and structural work, all measured and finished by one local crew with a free written estimate before we start.

What we build

Why Cambridge Concrete Needs a Real Base

Cambridge acreage means the slab has to earn its keep. A long exposed-aggregate driveway sits on compacted gravel, not wishful thinking, so it sheds water and carries a truck without cracking. We measure slope, confirm drainage, and pour the right thickness for the loads you will actually run.

Detached shops and barns get polyaspartic or epoxy coatings that stand up to hot tires, hydraulic fluid and the wear of real work. The slab itself is jointed and flat, built to take a coating without telegraphing every imperfection underneath.

New construction or an addition? We pour footings and foundation walls to the engineer's specs, so the structural work and the flatwork stay with one crew and one standard from start to finish.

How it works

From Site Visit to Finished Concrete

  1. Measure and plan on site

We walk the lot with you, take dimensions, check grade and drainage, talk through finish options and how the new slab ties into existing structures, then leave a written quote with a locked-in price.

  2. Excavate, base and form

On the start date we protect landscaping, remove old concrete if needed, excavate to grade, compact the base in lifts, and set forms so the pour lands exactly where it should.

  3. Place, finish and cut joints

The crew places the concrete, screeds it flat, finishes it to your chosen texture (broom, exposed-aggregate, stamped, or smooth), and cuts control joints so seasonal movement follows a clean line.

  4. Cure, seal and hand over

We protect the fresh slab, clean the site, walk you through the finished work, and leave a cure schedule so you know when it is ready for traffic, coating or sealing.

Sized for the job

Concrete That Handles Real Cambridge Work

A shop floor for a truck or tractor is not the same as a car bay. We size the slab thickness and reinforcement to the actual load, then finish it flat and jointed so an epoxy coating or polished finish goes down smooth and lasts through years of use.

Long driveways on acreage get the same logic: proper base, right thickness, air-entrained mix for freeze-thaw, and a finish that sheds water. A stamped patio or plain concrete pad is jointed so it moves with the seasons instead of cracking at random.

Starting from scratch? We pour footings and foundation walls to engineered specs for new builds and additions. See the full range of options and pricing in our concrete cost guide.

Common questions

Cambridge Concrete Questions, Answered

Acreage access, shop floors and scheduling for concrete in Cambridge.

Regularly. Longer driveways are common out here, and we build them on a properly compacted base in the right thickness so they carry vehicle loads without rutting or cracking. The free visit is where we measure and confirm grade and drainage.
Yes, and we size it to what you will park on it. A shop floor for a truck or trailer gets more thickness and reinforcement than a standard car bay, then a coating that handles hot tires and dropped tools.
We pour footings and foundation walls to engineered specs, so a new build or addition can keep the flatwork and the foundation with the same crew and the same standard.
Spring and fall fill up first, especially for larger acreage pours. Reach out early and we will give you a realistic start window in writing with the estimate.
