Polished, Epoxy & Stained Concrete Floors in Boston
A finished concrete floor lasts decades with minimal upkeep, no carpet to trap dust, and no grout lines to scrub. We build them polished, epoxy-coated, stained or with a micro-topping overlay, starting with a flat, sound base and ending with a floor that suits your room. Every project begins with a free written estimate and a firm finish date.

The foundation matters
What Makes a Concrete Floor Finish Last
A polished, epoxy, stained or micro-topping concrete floor is only as durable as the slab beneath it. Uneven surfaces, soft spots and moisture problems show through any finish, so we address the base first.
When a slab is out of tolerance, we pour self-leveling underlayment to bring it into spec. If radiant heat is part of the plan, heated floor underlayment encases the tubing in the same operation. Once the base is flat and sound, we apply the finish: polished concrete for brightness and durability, epoxy coating for seamless protection, or a thin micro-topping that resurfaces tired concrete without demolition.
The sequence
How a Concrete Floor Gets Built in Boston
-
Inspect the slab
We examine the existing concrete for moisture, structural cracks, surface flatness and any old coatings, then recommend the finish that fits the room and the slab condition.
-
Prep the surface
We grind or shot-blast to remove old finishes and contaminants, repair cracks or spalls, and pour self-leveling underlayment where the slab is uneven.
-
Build the finish
We apply the chosen finish, polished, epoxy, stain or micro-topping, in full coats per the manufacturer system, from primer through topcoat.
-
Cure and handoff
The finish cures to full strength, we walk the floor with you, and you receive care instructions to keep the concrete looking new for years.
Match the room
Choosing the Right Floor Finish for Your Space
The room's use and your aesthetic guide the finish choice. Open-concept living areas and basements suit polished concrete, which is hard, reflective and easy to clean. Utility rooms and shops benefit from epoxy coating, which resists chemicals and moisture.
Kitchens and sunrooms come alive with stained concrete, where acid or water-based dyes add warmth and depth. If your existing slab is sound but dated, a micro-topping overlay lays a seamless new surface without the cost and mess of a tear-out.

Concrete Floor Questions Answered
Finishes, prep, cost and what concrete floors are like to live with in Boston.
Polished the whole main floor after a reno. It is bright, dead easy to clean, and the self-leveler they poured first means there is not a single high spot.
Epoxy floor in the basement utility room. Seamless, wipes clean, and they built it up in proper coats instead of one quick layer.
Stained the kitchen floor a warm brown. The colour has depth you do not get from tile, and there are no grout lines to scrub.
Micro-topping over an old cracked slab in the sunroom. New seamless surface for a fraction of a tear-out, and you cannot tell what was underneath.
