Ardex · Certified Installer

Trained Crews, Full Ardex System Warranty in Boston

When you hire a certified Ardex installer, the warranty shifts from product-only to system-level coverage. That means labor, removal, and repair costs are covered if the slab fails. Our crews have completed Ardex training, follow their install specifications, and document every project for warranty registration.

  • Ardex-trained installation crew
  • System warranty, not product-only
  • Documentation submitted at handoff

The warranty difference

Why System Warranty Beats Product Warranty

A product warranty covers the material itself. If an Ardex overlay fails, the manufacturer replaces the overlay compound. A system warranty covers the entire installation, including labor, site prep, removal of failed work, and any damage to surrounding surfaces. On a commercial project, that difference can mean tens of thousands of dollars.

Certification requires our crews to complete Ardex training on prep, primer application, mix ratios, installation technique, and cure conditions. We document the entire process with photos, batch records, and dimensional verification. That documentation gets submitted to Ardex at project close, and you receive a copy for your records.

Our Ardex overlay work carries this certification, as does our self-leveling underlayment and waterproofing systems. Every commercial concrete project benefits from the same warranty protection.

Installation sequence

How Certified Ardex Install Flows From Quote to Handoff

  1. Identify the Ardex system

At estimate, we confirm which Ardex product fits your concrete need (overlay, self-leveling, repair mortar, or waterproofing) and verify that system is within our certification scope.

  2. Install per Ardex spec

The crew follows the exact Ardex specification for that system, including substrate prep, primer, mix ratios, application method, and cure time. No shortcuts, no substitutions.

  3. Capture install data

During the pour or application, we photograph the work, record batch numbers, measure final dimensions, and note any site conditions. This data supports the warranty claim if needed.

  4. Submit warranty package

After cure, the complete documentation is submitted to Ardex for system warranty registration. You receive a copy of the warranty certificate and all supporting records.

Coverage and scope

What Ardex Certification Covers on Your Slab

Our certification covers the Ardex products we install most often: overlays for resurfacing tired concrete, self-leveling underlayment for floor prep, repair mortars for cracks and spalls, and waterproofing membranes for below-grade work. If your project requires a less common Ardex product, we confirm certification status at quote time.

The cost of certified installation is slightly higher than uncertified work, reflecting the training, documentation, and submission overhead. On commercial projects, the system warranty value typically exceeds that small premium many times over. Common questions

Ardex Certification Questions, Answered

What certification covers, warranty difference, training and project coverage.

Crew has completed Ardex training on specific systems, follows Ardex install spec, and submits documentation supporting Ardex system warranty. Not every contractor handling Ardex products has certification; we maintain it because it changes what customers actually receive.
Product warranty replaces a failed material; system warranty addresses the actual cost of correcting a failure (labor, demolition of overlying work, consequential damage). For commercial projects especially, the difference is significant.
Our certification covers the Ardex products we install regularly: overlays, SLU, repair mortars, waterproofing systems. Less common products may require additional verification; we confirm at quote time.
As-built dimensions, batch records, install photographs, any required testing. The package is submitted to Ardex for system warranty registration and a copy is delivered to you at handoff.
Slightly, reflecting the training, documentation, and submission overhead. The cost difference is small compared to the value of system warranty over product warranty on commercial projects.

System warranty on our Ardex waterproofing install. The cert paperwork was delivered at handoff; if anything fails, the warranty covers the actual cost. Real value for commercial work.

They are the only certified Ardex installer we work with on overlay projects. The warranty submission is part of the install package, not an extra. That changes the value of the install.

Y. W5

Documentation during install was thorough. Photos, batch records, dimensional verification. Our internal compliance file got the warranty paperwork with no follow-up needed.

They explained the product-warranty vs system-warranty difference clearly at quote time. Made the value of cert install obvious. Worth the small premium.
